uniPoint Installation Options

On-Premises: uniPoint is installed on an MS Server on the customer’s local area network
Considerations:
- Supports both uniPoint Windows and uniPoint Web
- uniPoint Windows is installed as client-server or terminal server
- For uniPoint Windows, a client-server deployment is only supported on a LAN
- For uniPoint Windows, when remote access is required, every user will require a secure remote connection (like RDP over VPN or a secure client)
- For uniPoint Web, a SSL/TLS certificate is recommended for internal use and required for any parts that are exposed externally

Customer Hosted: uniPoint is installed on an MS Server on a remote network, managed by the customer
Considerations:
- Supports both uniPoint Windows and uniPoint Web
- For uniPoint Windows, every user will require a secure remote connection (like RDP over VPN or a secure client)
- For uniPoint Web, at least 1 user will require a secure connection (like RDP over VPN or a secure client)
- For uniPoint Web, a SSL/TLS certificate is required for any connections over the internet that are not protected by a VPN
- If ITAR compliance is required, we recommend using Amazon GovCloud hosting, managed by the customer

uniPoint Cloud: uniPoint is hosted and managed by us in the cloud
Considerations:
- Supports only uniPoint Web
- Hosted in commercial MS Azure Cloud
- ITAR is not supported
- Backups performed nightly and kept for a period of 1 week.
